Depending on who is talking about it, ad-hoc can also mean non-scheduled reports, where reports are created but run on demand rather than to any particular timetable. Ad hoc analysis is easily done in Webi, whereas Crystal's strength seems to be more complex, static reporting. That said, I'd be interested to see what Crystal can do that Webi can't but I'll not take the thread off topic!
